Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is the most popular technic for hair transplantation. Process is applied in the form of carting the hair follicles from one section of the scalp to another section. Previously, it was thought that strands were growing separately. However, in reality hair follicles grow in groups named as follicular unit. One follicular unit contains hair follicles from one to four.
Each follicular unit containing hair follicles also contain a small muscle, blood supply and nerves. All of these are a protein group named collagen. During the extraction, follicular graft is harvested as follicular units in order to provide survival and growth.
When FUE Hair Transplantation is the subject for hair, hair follicles are taken one by one from the read side of scalp by using a special tool. Remaining part of the process is applied as the transplantation of extracted bristle follicles. Small holes are formed in donor section and hair follicles are placed to these holes.
FUE hair transplantation application is done under local anesthesia and it can be realized in different times depending on the size of the area having hair shedding. However, the patient is under local anesthesia and for this reason he/she does not feel any pain despite of being conscious.
In the meantime, patient can listen music, sleep or read something without preventing the process. In this sense, FUE Hair Transplantation Technic provides a great comfort.
Just like in hair transplantation, FUE Hair Transplantation Technic is also preferred for beard and mustache transplantation processes and it is considerably effective in small areas and for this reason, it operates as a multiple benefit mechanism.
